HTI

Desert Tech HTI – Hard Target Interdiction Rifle
The HTI (Hard Target Interdiction) rifle is a lightweight, bolt action operated, magazine-fed firearm. The HTI’s bullpup design makes it the most compact and portable Hard Target Interdiction rifle in the world, 10.5 pounds lighter and 11.5 inches shorter than the M107 – .50 BMG rifle currently in use. The HTI sniper rifle is a convertible multi-caliber extreme range weapon. Caliber options include .50 BMG, .416 Barret, .408 CheyTac, and .375 CheyTac. All chamberings are capable of 2000+ yard engagements with phenomenal penetration. When you want to take out targets really far away, behind light cover, or stop light-skinned vehicles in their tracks the HTI is your rifle of choice. It was designed to operate under the harshest conditions and abuse. It utilizes high-impact polymers, aircraft grade aluminum (7075-T6), ultra high-strength steels, and durable coatings. The monolithic receiver serves as a full-length mounting chassis, eliminating the need for a bedding interface. Ergonomic stock panels attach directly to the receiver. The HTI sustains its accuracy and reliability in virtually any environment including subzero arctic temperatures, extreme desert heat and dust, and wet jungle environments.

The ergonomics and balance of the HTI are unmatched. This includes an externally adjustable match grade trigger, which adjusts for creep, travel, and weight (1 to 6 lbs), padded adjustable cheek piece designed into the rifles chassis and allows .43 inches (11mm) of adjustment while also providing a protective buffer from the shock of larger calibers such as the .50 BMG, optimized cheek rest, custom contoured pistol grip, comfortable rear support grip, raised butt pad which positions the shooters shoulder above the bore line, minimizing muzzle rise and felt recoil, ambidextrous safety selectors which are accessible without removing firing hand from pistol grip, 60 degree bolt lift, rear magazine release lever which easily facilitates one handed magazine changes so the shooter can stay on the rifle during magazine changes, 14 quick sling attachment points are located on the weapon for shooting versatility and are perfectly balanced with the centerline of the weapon to ensure the rifle lies comfortably flat when slung.

The full length MIL-STD-1913 rail provides a mounting surface for state of the art night vision optics, thermal sights, and other accessories. Desert Tactical magazines incorporate a “shoulder retention” feature that prevents the projectile tips from slamming into the front of the magazine during recoil. In traditional magazines the projectile tips slam against the front of the magazine, deforming the projectile and in turn diminishing accuracy. This will not happen with Desert Tactical’s magazine.

The HTI rifle is factory equipped with a QD muzzle brake to allow quick attachment of suppressors.
